University of Mississippi
Cailin Loyd is originally from Fort Worth, TX and is a rising senior at the University of Mississippi. She is planning on graduating with an undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in May of 2012 and then hopes to pursue a graduate degree in Speech Pathology starting the following fall.
Cailin enjoys working with children and has worked with the Leapfrog program and closely with the RIF ("Reading is Fundamental" ) program in Oxford, MS. She has actively participated in philanthropic events such as "BBQ for Books" and also "Kappa Karnival" with her sorority to raise money for local elementary schools and provide local classrooms with books. In high school, she worked closely with Catholic Charities in Fort Worth to mentor young children. She also worked as an assistant camp counselor at a local Christian camp for 3 years.
In her spare time Cailin enjoys being outside, going on walks, and spending time with her family and friends. She feels extremely blessed and excited to have the opportunity to work with children at the Speech Garden this summer.
